It's been a while since I've been isolated in this advanced communication
outpost. I no longer remember when I left Earth, heading towards the SOL
system and my new home they call Lagrange L73. All my messages are encrypted
using an obsolete cryptographic technology known as KG-84.

The KG-84 is an electronic encryption device used to ensure the secure
transmission of digital data across a variety of networks, such as landline
phones, satellites, microwave links, and Telex lines. Although most military
KG-84 units have been replaced by equipment like the KIV-7 or modern
IP-Crypto devices, I still managed to bring along a unit that was used in my
special operations platoon, the WBKNL, before leaving Earth.

I send this first message in the hope that it will be read by my comrades,
so we can communicate in this distant and desolate SOL system.
